Happy Vesak to any Buddhist readers!
Happy Wesak Day, David!

The most important Buddhist festival which commemorates the birth,
enlightenment and passing of Shakya the Muni, Gautama the Buddha, in
Buddhism.

As G. I. Gurdjief said "The world is a school..." and if human life can be
said to have an overarching purpose at all, it is to graduate through to
the Awakening of Wisdom or Knowledge. The main error is Ignorance, which
keeps the karmic nexus going. The Muni termed it the Twelvefold Chain of
Causation, that is, everything proceeds from causes - one thing leads to
another.
